Medan – Harianto, a representative of fishermen from Belawan, North Sumatra, admitted to being happy to meet presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. Representing his friends, he conveyed aspirations regarding the welfare of fishermen in Belawan to the presidential candidate who is paired with vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“Earlier I met Mr. Prabowo up close, this is a pride for us, being able to meet the number one person. We conveyed a message to pay attention to us small fishermen in Belawan, so that we can prosper,” said Harianto, who met Prabowo at a lunch event with Prabowo attended by fishermen, farmers, and motorized pedicab (bentor) drivers at Kembang Restaurant, Medan, North Sumatra, on Saturday (13/1/2024).
Harianto continued that they took the initiative to come from far away from Belawan. According to them, the welfare program for fishermen promoted by Prabowo-Gibran is good for them.
“We in Belawan are troubled by the presence of purse seine nets that disturb the marine ecosystem. The fish are dwindling, but Mr. Prabowo talked about the welfare of the fishermen, we are interested and came here,” said Harianto.
Harianto and his friends hope that Indonesia is led by Prabowo Subianto. Because their goals are the same as Prabowo’s desires, which is welfare.
“It seems that Prabowo-Gibran should lead this country. We support it, last night we also declared (campaigning) at sea, supporting Prabowo-Gibran. We believe,” said Harianto accompanied by his friends.
