Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) recently held a ceremony at Udara Suparlan Field, Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency. The event, which took place on Sunday (10/8), featured President Prabowo Subianto as the inspector of the operational and military honor guard. Various state officials and representatives from neighboring countries accompanied Prabowo during the ceremony. Prabowo also presided over the inauguration and confirmation of new units within the TNI.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the People’s Representative Council (DPR) Puan Maharani, Head of the Regional People’s Representatives Council (DPRD) Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, Head of the Supreme Court Sunarto, and Head of the Judicial Commission Amzulian Rifai. Additionally, top military officials such as Chief of the TNI Agus Subiyanto, Army Chief of Staff Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Tonny Harjono were present. The event was also attended by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Head of the National Intelligence Agency Muhammad Herindra.
In his opening speech, Prabowo welcomed all attendees, including defense attaches from friendly countries, TNI personnel, Indonesian citizens, invited guests, and members of the media. He also expressed his pride and appreciation for everyone present. During the ceremony, Prabowo appointed the Deputy Chief of the TNI and awarded the Star of Valor to soldiers who demonstrated exceptional dedication and integrity. He also presented unit representatives with official certificates, marking their formal induction into their positions starting from that day.
