Prabowo’s Promise to Eradicate Poverty and Empower the Underprivileged

President Prabowo Subianto is dedicated to improving the lives of the underprivileged through a series of key initiatives aimed at both addressing immediate needs and creating a brighter future for generations to come. Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono highlighted the significance of programs like Sekolah Rakyat, Kopdes Merah Putih, and MBG during a discussion titled Accelerating the Success of President Prabowo’s Programs. The Sekolah Rakyat program seeks to break the cycle of poverty by providing children with education and opportunities to overcome economic hardships inherited from their parents. President Prabowo’s administration has set ambitious goals of eradicating extreme poverty by 2026 and reducing the national poverty rate to below 5 percent by 2029, focusing on social interventions and community empowerment. Adita Irawati, Senior Expert at the Presidential Communications Office, emphasized the administration’s three-pronged strategy, including initiatives like the People’s School, Red-and-White Village Cooperatives, and Free Health Checks in Schools. The CKG program, targeting schoolgirls, aims to reach 50 million Indonesians by the end of the year. The Red-and-White Village Cooperatives aim to stimulate local economies and create new job opportunities, with a target of establishing 80,000 cooperatives nationwide. President Prabowo’s commitment to empowering communities through these initiatives demonstrates a strong focus on reducing poverty and improving livelihoods across Indonesia.
