Importance of Family Participation in PHTC Success

All Quick Impact Programs (PHTC) are a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to its people, stated Chacha Annisa, Senior Expert Staff at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), during the “Double Check” discussion on “The Role of Family Development in Welcoming Indonesia Emas 2045.”

Chacha highlighted that all programs launched by the government since January, such as Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), Free Health Checks (CKG), School-Based Free Health Checks, Sekolah Rakyat, School Renovation, Digital Learning, and Merah Putih Village/Neighborhood Cooperatives, are aimed at benefiting families. However, she emphasized the importance of active involvement from families for the successful implementation of these programs.

Citing her experience monitoring the School-Based Free Health Checks with the Ministry of Health, Chacha mentioned the proactive measures taken to ensure the participation of students by informing and educating parents beforehand.

She also shared how the CKG program has promoted healthy practices among students, leading to positive changes in behaviors such as eating breakfast for energy and reducing screen time for better eyesight.

Highlighting the achievements of the PHTC initiative, Chacha mentioned that the MBG program has reached 8.2 million beneficiaries through 4,424 Nutrition Service Units, creating 82,000 jobs. The Free Health Checks program has examined 12.7 million out of 17.6 million registered participants. The Sekolah Rakyat program currently serves 5,665 students in 159 schools, and 81,500 Merah Putih Village and Neighborhood Cooperatives have been established. Additionally, the CKG program has conducted health checks for 34,542 students in just three days.

Chacha emphasized that these numbers represent the government’s dedication and impact on people’s lives, underscoring the importance of state presence in community welfare.
