President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates from his recent state visits to Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting in Solo, Prabowo shared details from his international tour, highlighting the breakthrough achieved in negotiations with the European Union regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Arriving at Jokowi’s residence in Solo at 6:00 PM local time, Prabowo was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who had greeted him earlier at the airport. The warm welcome extended by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana set the tone for a cordial and relaxed meeting that covered various current issues and key insights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour.
Expressing gratitude for the positive outcomes of the tour, Prabowo mentioned his visit to Belarus, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial trade relations between Indonesia and Belarus. He underscored Indonesia’s steadfast commitment to neutrality and constructive cooperation on the global stage, highlighting the country’s reputation for non-alignment and respectful engagement with all nations.
Prabowo’s meeting with Jokowi also included discussions with State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Through these interactions, Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s dedication to fostering friendly relations with countries worldwide, while upholding the principles of non-interference in domestic affairs and maintaining a neutral stance in international affairs.
