Prabowo Rides Whoosh High-Speed Train to Bandung with Public

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, traveled to Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday evening via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. Dressed in a cream-colored outfit with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, Prabowo checked in at the station around 7:45 p.m. local time and boarded the train to the platform amidst the excitement of fellow commuters. Surprising many passengers, Prabowo warmly interacted with the crowd and even posed for photos with the Whoosh crew before the train departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m.

The purpose of Prabowo’s trip is to open the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Scheduled from August 7 to 9, the convention will feature Prabowo delivering the keynote address alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. With the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” KSTI 2025 aims to serve as a significant strategic forum both nationally and internationally.
