President Prabowo Subianto recently convened a meeting with Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Deputy Minister of KKP Didit Herdiawan at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to tackle the issue of unauthorized sea fence construction in Tangerang, Banten Province. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono disclosed that the construction did not have the necessary permits, which is a violation of the regulations outlined in the Job Creation Law. Consequently, the construction has been sealed while further investigations are carried out to determine ownership and legality. President Prabowo has instructed a comprehensive legal evaluation of the situation, involving cooperation with various stakeholders such as the Indonesian Navy and the Marine Security Agency (Bakamla). The primary objective is to ensure adherence to legal procedures and prevent potential negative impacts like erosion.
