Sukabumi – Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto inaugurated nine points of clean water source assistance, centered in Karanganyar Village, Jampang Kulon, Sukabumi Regency on Saturday (30/12).
Wearing a cream-colored suit, Prabowo arrived in Karanganyar Village at 12.15 PM. His presence was enthusiastically welcomed by thousands of residents who had crowded the location since morning.
The community, consisting of parents, mothers, and children, loudly shouted Prabowo’s name. They seemed hysterical, shouting at each other even when Prabowo’s car was still quite far from the location.
“Sir! Mr. Prabowo!” they shouted.
When Prabowo arrived at the location, the residents jostled to shake hands and did not miss the chance to capture the moment. Prabowo even carried a child brought by his mother.
“Thank you for the warm welcome today,” Prabowo said.
He also reminded the residents to utilize the water source as best as possible and not to waste it. According to him, water is a strategic national element that must be preserved.
“Water is very strategic, I ask all residents to also preserve water. Don’t waste it, don’t squander it,” said Prabowo.
The nine points are spread in several villages, including Karangmekar Village; Purabaya Pasir Batok Village; Citamiang Village; and Karanganyar Village, which received two points of clean water source assistance.
This assistance is part of the community service and research initiated by the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) and the Defense University (Unhan) of Indonesia. A total of 110 points of clean water source assistance have been inaugurated in all regions of Indonesia. (SENOPATI)
