Sukabumi – Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto once again inaugurated clean water aid in Sukabumi Regency, West Java. This time there are nine water points inaugurated out of a total of 110 throughout Indonesia.
The inauguration was held in the Karanganyar Village, Jampang Kulon, on Saturday (30/12).
The nine points are located in several villages including Karangmekar Village; Purabaya Pasir Batok Village; Citamiang Village; and Karanganyar Village, which received two points of clean water assistance.
Prabowo said that the aid for clean water could be inaugurated thanks to the hard work of the Water Task Force (satgas) of the Indonesian Defense University (Unhan). The total of 110 water points is an initiative of the Ministry of Defense and Unhan in the framework of research and community service that will continue.
“Alhamdulillah, today we can see the inauguration of the water aid from Unhan again. I express my gratitude and appreciation to the Rector and the entire Unhan team. They have worked hard, they have drilled, laid pipes, produced water, I think more than 110 points throughout Indonesia,” said Prabowo.
The Rector of the Indonesian National Defense University, Lieutenant General TNI Jonni Mahroza, who also attended the inauguration, revealed that almost 1,500 families had benefited from the water aid.
“This is a social service project on the orders of the Minister of Defense himself to Unhan, which we have been carrying out since last year across Indonesia in several provinces starting from Sumba, Lombok, Maluku, Central Java, East Java, and Madura. There are 142 points that will be inaugurated and are still being worked on,” said Jonni. (SENOPATI)
