Bekasi – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Garudayaksa Football Academy Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the training center (TC) that he initiated in Kertarahayu Village, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Thursday (14/12).
Prabowo, accompanied by Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo; and PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir inaugurated the training center, which was built on an area of 60 hectares and has seven outdoor fields and one indoor field, including fields for juniors, seniors, warm-up fields, and indoor fields with shockpads.
In the future, the largest football academy in Indonesia will be formed at this training center. The academy, which was built starting in June 2022, is of international standard. The facility will also have a sports hall, Olympic swimming pool, gym, basketball court, and tennis court.
In addition, the TC facility, which is considered to have a world-class predicate, can also be used for free by the Persija team for training.
“So for Persija, I invite them to train at the academy later, please,” said Prabowo when attending an event at the Velodrome, East Jakarta, last September.
With the inauguration of this academy, Prabowo hopes that it can be the beginning of the birth of reliable and professional football players who can bring honor to Indonesia at the international level. (SENOPATI)
