In Serdang Bedagai, a heartwarming scene unfolded as Aslina couldn’t contain her tears of gratitude. She shared how her life has been transformed since being part of the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Cempedak Lobang, Sei Rampah. Thanks to the program, Aslina now has a job just a short distance from her home, a significant change from her previous life as a full-time homemaker with no income. She expressed her appreciation to the President for the support and hoped the program would continue.
Accompanied by Hasan Nasbi from the Presidential Communication Office and North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, Aslina proudly welcomed the visit to her workplace. Another woman, Normawati, also shared her experience of newfound opportunities and extra income to support her family through the program. With a smile, Norma highlighted how her children now receive nutritious meals daily, emphasizing the positive impact the initiative has had on her family.
The program, which not only provides healthy meals but also focuses on empowerment, has reached thousands of individuals nationwide. From housewives like Aslina and Norma to young women like Shinta Ramadana, who found employment after months of joblessness, the MBG Program has become a beacon of hope for many. As Shinta described her tasks in food preparation with enthusiasm, it becomes clear that the kitchens of SPPG units have turned into spaces of opportunity and transformation.
With a total of 93,572 individuals employed through the initiative, the MBG Program continues to make a difference in the lives of many. The impact goes beyond just providing meals—it is about empowering individuals and creating a sense of hope in communities.
