President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia received a warm welcome from Indonesian citizens upon his arrival in New Delhi, India. Among those eagerly waiting to greet Prabowo was Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student studying Marketing Communication at Amity University. Accompanied by fellow student Demas Fadel Anggara, they described the experience as exciting, despite some delays. Other Indonesians present, like Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, expressed gratitude for Prabowo’s personal gesture of shaking hands with them. They shared their hopes for a successful working visit in India and a promising future under Prabowo’s leadership.
Prabowo’s visit carries immense significance as it marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India, symbolizing a new chapter in bilateral relations. Before departing Jakarta, Prabowo expressed pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He emphasized the participation of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations. The visit also includes planned meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance cooperation on various strategic issues.
